The leg refrigerator is broke. Excuse me, the leg refrigerator, I had so many questions down the hall around the corner, I entered a lab I hadn't seen before. There is a plaque on the wall labeled the gross room. What was the gross room? I was intrigued. Entering the lab. My nose led me to the leaking refrigerator. I couldn't believe my eyes. There was a large refrigerator with a glass door like when you would see at a pizza place holding two liter bottles of soda. But instead this refrigerator is holding something a bit more macabre human legs through the glass doors of the fridge. I saw four or five red biohazard bags perfectly wrapped into the shape of a leg. I couldn't believe what I was looking at and yet everyone in the room was just carrying on like nothing strange was going on. When patients have pathology such as gangrene are those who have a limb amputated due to trauma. Their limb is sent to pathology to get examined. Before and after the legs are examined, they are stored in the refrigerator. The awful smell was a mixture of gangrene and human decomposition. The most shocking part was that I was working in this hospital for two whole years on the other side of this wall and had no idea there was a fridge filled with human body parts behind me. In fact, I had no idea about anything that was going on in the gross room.
