About Barry

I am a communications professional who got into voice work by accident. While on the trading floor at Merrill Lynch, I was told to report to a senior exec. He asked me to tell him my life story. I did. He said, "I heard you had a great voice. They were right. You are going to be the voice of Merrill Lynch."
I did CD-ROMs and read the daily market report on AOL (it was the 90s...). I kept this going at other firms where I worked. I couldn't find voice talent that was available for re-reads and reshoots. So I read the scripts myself. I was asked by Wall Street Journal Radio staff to do reads for them. I wrote, produced and voiced in English and Spanish. I have done radio, TV, video and on-hold for both employers as well as side gigs.
I once did an adult/erotic read as well (I have been told often that I have a very sexy voice). This was at the behest of a producer after a corporate read.
