I've learned to keep an open mind about what I don't know. That's my biggest tip. I got burned early on, not just once but a few times, not taking time to really analyze my territory and think long term, just taking the small wins of the day and not checking to see if they added up to anything meaningful. I also learned that every market is different and you need to put the time in up front to learn how things work. I created a checklist that I use with new accounts just to remind me of all the things that can influence the process and I have a different one for established accounts.
