About Janet

Recently honored for her talent and dedication, Janet Peters had a big win at the SOVAS Voice Arts Awards won Outstanding Commercial – TV or Web Best Voiceover. The awards ceremony took place in Burbank at Warner Brothers Studios this past November.

Months prior, she also took home Best International Voiceover Performance by a Female at the One Voice Awards, that took place in London, England.

Janet's vocal sound has a mature burnished register ideal for Documentaries, Corporate Narrations, Seniors, Villains, Grandmothers, Sorceresses, and Vixens. Her intoxicating vocal tone combines hard-won wisdom with the twinkle of youthful rebellion that appeals to Baby Boomers.

Janet has more than 15 years of improvisation experience and can’t wait to give you the voice you need. She studied with Second City’s former Director, Del Close, for over four years and has worked with Door County’s Paul Sills in the Hamilton Camp. She has taught the Art Of Improvisation in Chicago and has been a featured performer in a number of shows around the city. Her extensive theater experience makes her easy to work with and a true professional. She takes direction and works well under pressure with quick turnaround times.

Janet’s emotional range and acting training enable her to be exactly what her clients need. She can be alluring and confident, compassionate and comforting, warm and friendly.
