Since the financial crisis of 2008 our industry has been in a tailspin. The industry became obsessed with bottom line growth and in the process it forgot about top line growth. Brands were living off their half life. It was a race to the bottom. We saw an opportunity to go against the grain and build something different. But there was one problem.
