About Ed

I’m Ed Ashley, a classically trained actor and a full time voice-over artist working internationally from my studio in the UK. Born and raised in Japan, my accent comes from an upbringing around varied cultures. It has an international quality that lends itself well to global audience – an amalgamation of all the international accents I grew up with. A precise, intelligent, ephemeral tone.

My voice over career started in Tokyo, voicing ads for multinational companies before I moved to the UK to receive acting training. I trained at the drama conservatoire Rose Bruford which was founded by a famed voice teacher. As my career progressed I continued learning from esteemed voice over artists such as Richard Horvitz, best known for his work on Invader Zim. He taught me to find and strengthen every detail within a script before going into the booth. I’ve continuously worked to fine tune my craft ever since.

Working full time from my London studio I handle voice over projects around Europe and overseas. Crafting vocal performances that naturally fit your stories and ensure your project is handled right with a quick turnaround.
