This training will strengthen your knowledge of health equity and the drivers of health disparities. Upon successful completion of this training, you will be able to perform the following. Health equity is the successful culmination of efforts to ensure that all people have full and equal access to the opportunities resource is and services that help them lead healthy lives. Health disparities are differences in health status among distinct segments of the population, including differences that occur by gender, age, race, sexual orientation, gender, identity, religion, immigration, status, ability, language, ethnicity, education, income or living conditions. It is important to acknowledge the social construction of these demographic concepts because it has implications on how they have been used and changed over time.
