At the end of another strange winter, I think back over what it means to live here. And when I say here, I'm not talking about the towns and highways and lines on a map. The bio region of cascadia isn't simply a geographical sliver of the pacific northwest. It's a state of mind, a unifying identity. Not one just made up of volcanoes and watersheds, but if its people, its culture, not that I would call this a lot culture, but for all their foibles, there isn't anything I wouldn't do for them. We're a passionate group. Okay. Some more passionate than others. But we're more than that we're collective, a family. This was our season while we visited. Old friends. Skied new lines and were introduced to characters that define this diverse bio region. But most of all these are our stories of cascadia.
