Do you know that in India, more than two million people are diagnosed with cancer every year? That's a staggering number. And it's important that we all understand the risk factors, symptoms and treatment options. Cancer is a disease that occurs when abnormal cells in the body grow uncontrollably. There are many different types of cancer each with its own risk factors and symptoms. Some common types in India include breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer. The good news is that there are steps you can take to reduce your risk of cancer, eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, avoiding tobacco and alcohol and getting regular cancer screenings can all help to reduce your risk. If you notice any unusual in your body such as lumps, sores that won't heal or persistent cuffs, be sure to see a doctor early detection is key to successful treatment.
