When I first moved to Los Angeles, I was wary of some of the new age spiritual alternative practices that I had heard of. Sure. I had read self help books and enjoyed the occasional massage, but drug fueled nature retreats, Reiki healings and goat yoga. That was a little over the top for me. Slowly though, like every Angelino, I began to expand my horizons pretty soon. Instead of trips to the salon, my schedule was booked with acupuncture appointments and I was doing a juice cleanse every other month. It is wild how much people can change when they move to a new city.
