Here with us today is the brilliant mind, Fred Penny Land. Thank. Thank you so much. I'm excited to be here and to say that modern mythologies wouldn't have started or gotten as far as it has without you would be an understatement. No, no, you're an actual academic in the field. I'm just this guy who had an unhealthy hobby. Hardly. Your light and brilliance drew me like a moth to the stop. If it wasn't for your podcast, I wouldn't have ventured into the broadcasting sphere myself. Well, thank you. And I can say that my listeners have gotten infinitely wiser and more studied after your podcast went live. They're actually hungry for real answers. Now, if anything, you made my job harder, good. You are always too lax on your stories. Yeah, that's right. Over on urban folklore. We spent one episode sometimes two on a topic. So I like to be quick and concise and direct to that end. I would like to spell out the alley man. Please do. I love seeing your take. Ok. So the alley man is one someone on the fringe of society typically seen as homeless, alternatively, seen as a weird loner type. Uh, you haven't hit those stories yet on your podcast, but I've read a few that paint him more as a punk or an anarchist. So, one he exists on the fringe of society. Two, he performs what he calls tricks for varying amounts of loose change. Three for 17 cents. He will read your tarot cards. Four. You're given the 17 cents if you don't have it somehow. It, it appears in your pocket five. The advice in the reading is something that is important for where you are in life. Um, and it's always very timely six. There's a transaction taking place of some kind, both with the 17 cents and the sometimes recurring poker chip motif. The poker chip. Yeah, you brought up last time, but you didn't get into it much.
