disk framework disc is a term we use to discuss colleagues, behavioral differences. Each letter D. I. S and C. Represents a personality type and understanding who exhibits which traits helps us work together more effectively meet Tyler, he just answered a dis questionnaire and his result was the letter D. D. Represents dominance and Tyler agrees he match the D behaviors of accepting challenges, always trying to see the bigger picture and sometimes being a little bit blunt in his style of communication. Tyler's colleague Eva also took the disc test and found she is more of an eye type. Even knew that she values the roles of influence relationships and openness in the workplace, but she didn't realize that the disc assessment could help her understand these values in a new way. As more and more of Tyler and Eva's colleagues took the assessment. They were all able to see how their team was distributed across the disk model. It is clear that we are all different, we think differently and understand the same messages in very different ways. In a feedback session after the exercise, Tyler and Eva's work group indicated it was even fun using the categories and letters to increase self awareness as well is better understand co workers and their behaviors. They were astonished at how the categories rung true for various members of the group and stated the assessment opened up good discussion about conflict management, leadership style and teamwork in their work setting. Now that you better understand the purpose of the disk, you are ready to follow me into the next module of this training where we'll take a deeper dive into each of the four categories.
