Camilla Smith was raised in Riverton Utah by caring and open minded parents who instilled in her and appreciation for all people, including those different from them. Coming from a family of educators. Her mother nudged Camila in the direction of teaching too. After graduating from college, she moved to New York City without a job in hopes of working and publishing through a new group of friends. She got a lead on a job and met her future husband George. She began working GP Putnam's sons publishing there. She poured through many interesting manuscripts. One in particular as opportunities came in both George and Camilla's lives to support causes they believed in. They made a decision among the many causes they have supported was helping former President Jimmy Carter and the eradication of guinea worm disease in Africa. Camila believes in humanity believes we can learn much about ourselves through the study of our origins, believes we have the power to bring about change.
