We now know that COVID-19 can impact young people as well as adults. We can get covid and we can spread it to others if we want to keep our friends and families safe. We all need to play our part COVID-19s transmitted by droplets. Which is why wearing a mask and washing our hands. And social distancing is so important. Wearing a mask lowers the risk of getting infected and of spreading it. We've learned a few things from adults wearing masks especially how not to wear them. And we need your help. Making sure we wear masks when we are told to and wearing them correctly is important. Disposable and material mask are both fine as long as they're clean. For material masks, make sure you have a liner and that the mask is washed daily for disposable masks, change them twice a day and more often if it's soiled or wet, make sure the mask fits over the nose and mouth securely and please dispose of masks appropriately and wash your hands. We may get told that we have to wear masks at school in places where physical distancing is hard or in public. I know it's hard but we need to follow these directions. We need to lead the way we are critical in the fight in getting queenslanders back to enjoying life again.
