About Kim

As an American in Tokyo, my voiceover career started with dubbing the voices of children and then ingénues for Japan Airlines inflight films. I was a featured regular on a popular Japanese TV show and was frequently heard on Japanese Radio. I also recorded character voices and songs for mini robots. In the US, I've continued to record voices for educational and entertainment videos in English and Japanese. I bring my love, knowledge and respect for various cultures to my work.

My microphone is a Shure MV7X XLR with multiple backups, such as a Blue Yeti USB and various video production mics like the IK Multimedia iRig mic.

Computer & Software

I use Adobe Audition running on a MacBook Pro, which is isolated from the recording space that uses three monitors and a silent iMac.

Special Equipment

Between the Shure mic and the laptop are a Cloudlifter and a Volt1audio interface. The recording space is surrounded by sound absorbing materials, such as furniture blankets and cloth curtains.
