The Aztecs believed in many gods more than 200 but the two most important gods were kettle quadrille, the god of wisdom, known to many Mesoamerican cultures, and we still approached lee God of the Sun and war. He was a new god created by the Mexica rulers of the Aztec empire. The Aztecs greatly admired the art and architecture of the toll techs, an earlier civilization in ruins. By this time, they not only built upon the Toltec belief system, but were inspired to copy their pyramid temples in the Aztec capital, Tenochtitlan.
