Welcome back. This is video number 28 of the ultrasound training series. And today we'll be continuing our study of cardiac point of care. Ultrasound. Let's first discuss left ventricular systolic dysfunction. There are three key assessments when evaluating LV systolic dysfunction. These include endocardial excursion, myocardial thickening and septal motion of the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve, also known as SS for assessment of endocardial excursion and myocardial thickening. You'll often need multiple views. One view is not sufficient to evaluate the systolic function of the LV.
