Hi everyone. For those that don't know me. My name is Nick Dietrich, I mean are some employee based out of the Denver Tech center office. I'm a part of the R. S. M. Technology Academy. Uh So in my my line of work we often have to create virtual machines for our our students to use in training classes. So uh this also means that we have to give the users admin privileges within Dynamics 3 65 for operations. So this is really cool tool out there called the admin user provisioning tool and with the click of a button after typing in an email address, like you have your admin setup right there, that's it, it's super easy. So when we first started using Dynamics 3 65 for operations, this is when it was still called A X seven, uh we only had access to locally hosted virtual machines, we didn't have them hosted on Azure, like we do now. So when we made the switch over to Azure hosted virtual machines, uh we noticed a couple differences in the in the system that the the Microsoft set everything up just a little bit differently. Uh One of the things that was missing is the admin user provisioning tool. This was no longer in the Azure hosted images, as far as we could tell, I asked some colleagues if they had any idea where it might be, We looked around online, we couldn't find anything on it. So uh we kind of just gave up on it decided, I guess we're not gonna be able to use this tool for our Azure hosted images anymore until about a month after we were trying to deal with this problem went in uh one of sean schools training classes, one of the students was playing around in Dynamics 3 65 for operations, and he just happened to come across the tool that they're in in one of the folder structures. So after that we were set and so I want to show you guys where you can find this tool in the Azure hosted Images. So let's go check that out. Hey guys, so I'm going to walk you through how to find the admin user provisioning tool in an Azure hosted environment and then we'll also ah look at how to use it to. So to start things off, we're going to go into File Explorer and we're going to go to the J Drive this service volume here and from here we're going to go to the A. O. S. Service folder and then packages Local directory. From here, we're going to choose the bin folder and then here in the bin folder we can see the admin user provisioning pool. So what I can do with this now is I'm going to send it to my desktop so we have it in a convenient location instead of having to drill through all these folders to get there. So to do that I'm going to right click the admin admin user provisioning tool and then we'll click send to and I'm going to choose desktop. So now we have a shortcut for the admin user provisioning tool on our desktop so I can now open the admin user provisioning tool as well. I could do that before copying over the file to our desktop but we're going to do that step now so we can either access that through the folder here, the bin folder or on our desktop. So I'm going to choose our desktop shortcut here and it's opened up the Admiral admin user provisioning tool for us. And let's close out a file Explorer here too. So now what we need to do is enter in the email address that we want to associate with, the admin user in dynamics 365 for operations. So I'm going to use the email that we use for all of our training classes here and then once I have the email entered in, I can click submit and we'll give this just a second here and then it should let us know that everything was successful and there you have it it says our admin users successfully updated to training 02 at junction solutions dot com and then we can click OK when we're done.
