As humans, we experience a range of emotions and strive towards various goals. Every day. We make an effort to control things in our life. We seek out pleasure, avoid pain, go through different states like joy, anxiety, boredom, fear, anger and excitement. We may not always feel like we have access to our best selves. But it is possible to learn how to instantly find a sense of peace and comfort while going about our normal lives. How do you feel right now? Take a few moments to recognize your thoughts and emotions. You don't have to be calm to discover peace and comfort in this moment. Accept however you're feeling, it's all part of being human. It's okay to feel whatever you're feeling right now. You don't need to change your emotions, just observe and accept, let go of any resistance to experiencing and feeling your emotions. We don't need to feel good to feel peaceful except you're a human being and you will go through what human beings go through. Everyone has hopes and fears, everyone has unpleasant emotions. It's all part of being human. When you accept this. It is possible for a sense of love and compassion for oneself and others to emerge. Everyone suffers and yet everyone would rather not suffer, remind yourself that it's okay. It's okay to feel whatever you are feeling, take time to reflect on how other humans have felt are currently feeling and will probably feel in the future. It's possible for you or others to feel alone, but no one is truly alone. There are millions of people in a similar circumstance to you right now. There were millions more in the past and there will be millions more in the future. So have compassion for yourself and others by appreciating and accepting your humanity as you listen to this session. Now reflect on all the good bits about being human. Think about the experiences, you've had the connections you felt with others, the things you're passionate about and you can enjoy what you enjoy because you're human being, a human is a privilege and a joy. We're capable of complex thought and emotion. So soak in the good stuff about being human as you go about your day, remember you're a human being, take the time to simply be and experience what it feels like to be human. Accept that as a human, you will experience a wide range of emotions and try and resist the temptation to judge yourself. Go easy on yourself and others and fully enjoy being a human.
