In 14 75 the famed artist Andrea del Vero Keogh took a commission to paint the baptism of Christ. Vero Keogh had that young apprentice, Leonardo da Vinci paint one of the angels on the left side of the painting. According to Renaissance biographer Giorgio Vasari, DaVinci did more than show his potential. Vero Keogh, seeing the quality of the Vinci's work, grew ashamed of his talents and vowed never to paint again. Vasari is probably taking some artistic license here, pun intended. But we do know that after finishing the baptism of Christ, Vero Keogh had DaVinci takeover, painting all of his commissions. Vero Keogh, himself focused on sculpture, is true love for the rest of his life.
