Good afternoon, you're listening to the new Classical FM 96.3 on your dial. I'm Drew Todd. So great to have you along with us on this beautiful spring day, we've got just a marvelous selection of music coming up over the next couple of hours as well as some big news and announcements you're gonna want to hear about and a really cool interview I did with Craig Kill Inder. Now he's the wig master for the upcoming Mirvish production, harry potter and the cursed Child opening May 31st and he's a really interesting fellow with just a wealth of equally interesting stories. We had a lot of fun and that'll be coming up near the end of the show so be sure to stay locked in on us before we get to all of that. So why don't we cleanse the palate as they say and launch right into some new music. We've got a fresh one here from Canadian composer Jocelyn morlock. Now, this is an excerpt from her latest release at Canary. It's morlocks First Flute Concerto and is heard here performed by the Vancouver Island Symphony. This one is entitled Orn efficiency for Flute and Orchestra On the new classical 96.3. We'll take a quick look at the weather. Now, the sun's gonna continue to poke out over the course of the day with mixed showers occurring across the G T. A. Currently we're sitting at eight degrees in Toronto feeling like five and it's currently eight degrees in Berrien, six in Collingwood. Hey, happy to see live doors opening again across the province finally feeling like a turn back towards the normal of course, there is nothing quite like an evening out of live classical music Masterworks of Oakville will present vivaldi and bach on saturday april 30th and that will be held at ST Matthew's catholic church in Oakville at eight PM. The teachers in concert fundraiser is going to happen this year on sunday May 1st at 23 Prince Arthur Avenue Toronto tickets for that one or 22 23 the off center Music salon presents, I remember now this is a hybrid of music and readings from composers, memoirs featuring Orville part too, boozy, Tchaikovsky Strauss and others And that will be held this Sunday April 10 at Trinity ST. Paul's United Church in Toronto coming up over the next hour we've got some Mendelssohn, some Hugo Alphen and some valentines Silvestro. If we're going to dive right back into some listening.
