greetings everyone and thank you for tuning into views from my reality. I'm your host Angela Waters bamford And today I would like to share a message from psalms 1 21. I'm going to title this. Looking to the heels. I hope you don't mind if I act like I'm in church for a little while and I promise that I won't be before you long, I don't know if anyone else has ever felt like they were going through a battle and it seemed like one thing after another begins to happen and before you know it it seems you have spent a lot of time looking at the problem and not at the solution many times when things like that happen, it's easy to lose focus. It may seem like you are in a fighting ring in getting hit with knockout blows from every side and yes, while you're going through, you may forget that even while we are hunted or we're not abandoned by God, we make it knocked down but we are not destroyed. We have a race to run and we have to complete our course. So praise the Lord Church. I would look towards the hills from which cometh my help. My help comes from the Lord which made heaven and earth. I will trust in the Lord with my whole heart and I shall wait patiently for him for I know he will hear an answer prayer and bring me up from a Meyer E pit and place my feet on a rock. I know the God that I serve is able to keep me from falling and to present me faultless before the only wise guy. Many of you know that tune. I won't complain. Sometimes life will get you down and you can find a million and one things to complain about. And the more you complain, the worse the situation becomes. Sometimes it may be hard to see the forest for the trees, or it may seem like your midnight won't come, go away and your daylight won't come, but you still rest assured and knowing that the word of God is forever settled in heaven. And it says that weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning. I didn't say that the tears weren't going to come. But you know that you have a burden bear heart fixer and the mind regulator in God. You know that there is nothing too hard for God and that he can make a highway in the midst of the sea and turned dry bones into armies. So you press on towards the mark of the high calling. And God. The other day I found myself sitting in the A. And E. That's the emergency room full of excruciating pain, wondering what was wrong with me. The doctor's office in America told me they thought the problem was something very serious and that I needed to seek immediate help. When I arrived at the Andy and registered, they told my husband that he couldn't stay there. I was alone and in pain needing comfort and to know got I was going to make everything all right. As I sat there. I believe the Lord began to speak to me as I looked around and at the other people who were there waiting to be treated. He bought by my great grandmother's poem about a gambler who related his fast life to her as death was approaching and God helped her to put his life into poetry. His funeral was held at night to represent the life he lived. The poem was full of remorse and pain. He talked about how he knew he was dying and that his mother had brought him up the right way, telling him about jesus and that she was a single mother because his dad had left home and left the family while he was very small and his father was dealing with his own issues. Asked the man grew, he said that the world reached out and called to him and he answered back. Too blind to see. And as he answered back, he did it. But chasing whisky wine women and song and gambling, He realized one day that the plight of his decisions when he wrote back home and found that his mom had died and his friends who were always around seemed to have left him when he became ill and the money was gone. I thought about how so many of the people may have had similar experiences and are still stuck lost in a world of chaos and mess. I didn't feel too bad about myself because I believe that I made the right choice when I started following God with my whole heart and tried to apply the biblical principles to my life. I'm not saying that I'm a saint or that I'm any better than anyone else. I'm just saying that I know that my life has improved from when I was doing the drugs and other things that were ruining the Temple of the Holy Ghost and that my relationship with God has me to the point that I'm not afraid of dying in that the living part is bearable. And I know that it is if this Tabernacle be dissolved, I have a home in heaven where my treasures are and it is eternal moths can't come in and destroy it. Police can't make me afraid to live and walk the streets. And most importantly, God knows my name. At the end of the man's life, he knew that old satan was waiting at his side and that he was lost. He knew that he had waited too late to get right with God and he was trying to warn others that now while they are yet in the land of the living and have breath in their bodies is their time under God now is the time to repent of the sins and turn to God and enjoy the blessings and peace that God offers. He understood too late that salvation is free for all mankind. He had missed the opportunity to rest and knowing that true help was only a breath away. I implore you not to miss your opportunity today. I just want to talk with you for a few minutes about looking to the hills. If you would just read along with me our old testament scriptures in psalms 1 21. And it said that I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. Let me stop right there for a moment and unpack this because the Lord wants us to have a clear understanding so that we can have a strong foundation to build our faith upon. I need you to recognize that the writer put his eyes towards the direction of the solution and not on the problem. He lifted his eyes. Have you ever been so broke down and disgusted that you just pulled yourself up a chair and sat down and had a big old pity party? Oh woe is me. Look at me! I'm in such a mess, ratchet and undone. There's no way out for me and on and on. Uh sometimes our friends come by and help you not really help. They will agree with you and then later tell you, Oh well, uh or they will help you feel worse and the enemy will help them make you beat yourself up. But they don't know that you have a relationship with the most high God and that your God will make the bad things work together for your good. It is hard to see anything but the ground when you're looking down, just like you can't fly with the eagles when you're running with the turkeys. Can you hear me? Somebody? We usually tend to go in the direction we are focused on when we are weak, then we are strong in God. But you have to hold on to your faith and not faint in the day of adversity. You have to know that even though it may seem like God is Terrien or delaying God is always on time. Just when you're about to give up. That's when God will show up. Was not moses at the Red Sea when God opened it up for him was not Shadrach meshach and Abednego in the furnace. When old King never knesset looked in and saw one like the son of man and did not daniel stay in the den of Lions all night long. God still delivered them because they continue to trust in God. Their faith did not fail them. They knew in whom they had believed and he had and we have to also, we have to know that we can look towards the hills from which cometh our help and who it is that is providing that help our God strong and mighty. Let me move on because I said I wasn't gonna be before you long, but I will stay as long as the Lord says So Verse three says he will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber behold he who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. I know some of you may have read some of this word and we know that On the 7th day, God rested God rested from his labor. It didn't say he was sleepy or that he was tired. God is everywhere at all times beholding the good and the bad. God will not leave you there to fend for yourself. God knows what we can and cannot bear. I want you to know that the God that I serve is able to keep you. I don't care if you are sick homeless, broke confused loss or whatever you're going through. If you're calling him, I know that he will answer and that he is not short concerning his promises. I have tried them for myself too many times and found him to be all right. He has showed up for me in the courtroom when the state said I owed and he has paid my debt in full. He has showed up in the sick room and brought me out when the doctors didn't know if I was gonna make it or not. He has kept my Children and they did not spend not one night in the hospital while they were growing up and he continues to do great things for me. Don't just take my word for it. Try God for yourself. Old taste and see that the Lord, he is good, what he does for me. He will do for you. Try him seek and you shall find knock and the door will be open. You have not because you ask not. If you want to stand the storehouse and starve to death, that's on you. But as the men who said at the gate and Second Kings chapter seven said, why sit you here to die? Let's go on verse five. The Lord is your keeper. The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The son shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth. And even forevermore, do you not know about Joshua and how God? He asked God for time for the sun to stand still over Gibby in and the moon to not stop in the valley of Ashkelon for about a day, so they could finish whipping their enemies. The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. God can make the sun not to strike the by day, nor the moon by night. When the armies were against Joshua did not God fight for him as they left their house walking and whipping folks along the road, the Lord rained down hailstones from heaven and killed even more than Joshua in their armies. When God is for you who can be against us. God is able to preserve our souls, Give us beauty for ashes and give us back the years that the kink of worm stole. Remember that the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof the world and they that dwell there. Ian he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods and we are the Lord's and the sheep of his pastures and he loves us. God will not give us stones when we ask for fish and with every temptation he will make a way of escape. As I close the secret is to hold onto God's unchanging hands no matter what it looks like, no matter what it feels like. Hold on, no matter who goes with you, hold on, no matter how the persecution comes, keep looking up. If your mother don't go, keep looking up. If your father don't go, keep looking up! If your husband, your wife, your brothers, your sisters don't go keep looking up. You got to seek your own soul salvation with fear and trembling. And after you have been converted, you can help strengthen others. But you gotta get a made up mine that you're gonna go all the way through. If it costs your life, you will pay the price because you've got heaven in your view. Don't worry about what people say or do you hold on, don't you want to see jesus for yourself. Keep looking to the hills from which cometh your help one day and it won't be long, christ is gonna crack that sky and it will be too late to start getting ready to meet him. We are in the dressing up room right now, as the old saints used to say, deal, do like paul, stay in that ship, that old ship of Zion, stay in the word, you can't go wrong, abide in jesus, for he is the vine and we are the branches and in him we can bear much fruit that will help us to live that abundant life that jesus died for us to have look towards the hills that God sits on and know that we are safe in his arms. The trying of our faith is simply making us our patience to grow stronger so that we can prove what is that good and acceptable will of God and christ, jesus, bring your sacrifice, a lips loves loot and love to God and watch God work it out for you. Try God for yourselves and let the redeemed of the Lord say so, I tell you God is great and greatly to be praised. I will bless the lord at all times and his praise shall continually be in my mouth, my soul shall make her boast in him. And the humble shall hear and be glad if I had 10,000 tons. I couldn't praise God enough for all that he has done for me. And when I think of the goodness of jesus and all that he's done for me, my soul cries out Hallelujah, I thank God for saving me. Therefore I will lift up my eyes under to the hills from which cometh my help. My help comes from the Lord the Lord which made heaven and earth. He will not let my foot to be moved. I know the Lord keeps me and he will not slumber. He who keeps Israel won't slumber nor sleep. And whatever battle comes my way. The Lord is able to deliver me from them all. The Lord is my keeper. The Lord is my shade at my right hand. The son shall not strike me by day nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve my soul from all evil. He shall preserve my soul. The Lord shall preserve my going out and my coming in from this time forth. And even forevermore, blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen to God be the glory, Hallelujah.
