needing no introduction is Saoul Canelo Alvarez, the Mexican four division world champion and the number one star in boxing of 2020. Climbing his way up the weight classes, Canelo is put on nothing less than spectacular performances throughout all his fights. Known for his heavy hands and creative counter punching ability, Canelo is showcased some of the most unique boxing ability that we have ever seen. Also having a Terminator like Jen, the Mexican is proving even the hardest punchers have a tough time putting a dent in him, using some of the best tricks in the trade and also creating his own. Along the way, Canelo has developed unique ways of tricking opponents toe open up their guard, enabling him to land his own attacks with an explosive style and extremely fast hands. Canellos punch combinations of hooks, uppercuts and straight shots look nothing short of magnificent during every fight. But the one thing that makes Canelo stand out from most fighters is his ability to land destructive body shots. Over the past years, we've seen some of the best body punchers in boxing, displaying the devastating effects that they cause in showing how the toughest of fighters can crumble after just a single blow to the torso. Here's a few times that Canelo demonstrated that he has some of the best body shots in the game. In this fight with Khan, we see Canelo throwing repeatedly straight shots and hooks to the body as often as he can. Amir put up a good fight, causing a lot of problems for Canelo, but they're repeated. Bobby shots took its toll on Khan until he was finally knocked out. Probably my favourite Canela knockout of all time was this heavy left hook stopping Liam Smith in the ninth round. Liam Smith, who showed grit and put up a good fight, had already been put down by a heavy body shot earlier in the fight by Canelo. In one of his earlier fights against fellow Mexican and Gullo. Canelo, landing over 200 punches showed his rank in the division and Gullo took a severe beating in yet another victim of Canellos. Body shots. Unlike most fighters that just head hunt, Canelo seems to do the exact opposite and uses the head shots to set up. The body Shots is we can see here in the second fight with triple G. We see Canelo have his toughest fight to date. Unlike many of Canellos other opponents that crumbled from the force of Canellos punches, Golovkin was known for his ability to shrug off damage throughout fights and proved to be battle tested. As Ginette, he takes punches to the head Well. In this fight, we see him wince a little at times as he feels the body shots of Canelo. One of the best highlights in the fight for me was how Canelo time glove kins job to slip and land a left hook to the body, something that Canelo does in many of his fights. But one thing we noticed about Canelo is his ability to adapt and different fights, whether it's sitting back, encountering his opponents or pushing for in applying pressure to get the knockout with his one and only lost to Floyd Mayweather. Carmelo has learned to get better with each fight showing us something we rarely see in other boxers, and that's consistency in each and every performance
