From a freelance illustration job done on Upwork:
I hired Technical Image (TI) to redraw very poor hardcopy scans of 15 technical line drawings and to give me the files in native Freehand format. TI was the only bidder who responded correctly to my request for a sample, so from the beginning I knew he was detail-oriented and could follow instructions. I am a stickler for accuracy and was frankly unprepared for the 100% accuracy in his first drafts. I gave him a list of style and method specs to ensure my ability to revise the drawings in future. He followed them without question. His drafting skill and engineering knowledge enabled him to improve the original scans. His communication was always pleasant and prompt. He finished each milestone early and filed regular status reports. As a consultant myself, my reputation depends on the quality of the work I receive from my subcontractors. TI may be new to Elance (now known as Upwork), but he is a skilled professional and I welcome him to my team of experts. He will have lots of future business from me!
