strict name first appeared on the side of a trailer in the early 19 thirties. The original Strick aluminum trailer was the brainchild of a young man born as Frank's Trickovski, who immigrated to the U. S. A. As a teenager from Eastern Europe. He worked his way from Galveston, Texas, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, before settling in Philadelphia, where he eventually shortened his name. Rumor has it so it would fit on a mud flap. While the past 75 years have seen the strict name appear on products built by many diverse organizations in half a dozen states and half a dozen countries around the world today the strict name only appears on the side of trailers. Built in Monroe, Indiana, by strict Trailers LLC, this new strict was formed in 2009 and has two connections to the original company founded by Frank's trick. The first connection is that the chairman of strict Trailers LLC is Frank Cats, who is the grandson and namesake of Frank's Trick. Second connection is that Frank's tricks, commitment to innovation, quality and American manufacturing is embedded throughout the company. After Frank's tricks death in 1952 his trailer company was sold in all, strict people in products were folded into the Froo half corporation, which was a trailer manufacturing behemoth at the time that ended up in bankruptcy. Strict story might have ended there, but in 1965 the Federal Trade Commission, forced through have to sell off certain assets of the business they had acquired from strict family. And the winning bidder for these assets was frank, strict son in law Saul Katz. Saul used the assets to start a new business, which he operated as strict corporation. Over the next 2.5 decades, the strict name was associated with a list of innovations, including the 1st 1 inch deep sidewall, the first fish belly floor sales, the first integral scuff round and the first aluminum plate trailers. Saul was an incredibly creative entrepreneur who innovated not only in trailer design but in the broader field of transportation. Until he retired in 1991 Saul was a global leader in the design and engineering of a new set of products used in both rail and ocean shipping, known as intermodal containers and chassis. After Saul Katz retired in 1991 his son Frank, acquired strict corporation operating under a mantra of better, not bigger. The company's focus is sharp. Ultimately, strict Trailers LLC was created toe only make van trailers, and in recent years the focus has been to build customized vans for very demanding customers who want what they want. In Frank's words, our size, experience and the dedication of our team members allows us to be more flexible and focused on our priority of the customer ization needed to meet and exceed customer expectations for quality, performance and value. The company today is led by an experienced team of committed team members who work to remain true to our mission. Every employee is given the opportunity to own part of the company through an employee stock ownership program. We are driven to be an example of the best in American manufacturing and how that can thrive amid the challenges of today's global world way, are proud of the strict brand history, but also of what we have become and the mission we have for safety first, with consistent quality and customer satisfaction. This is who we are today and what we commit to delivering tomorrow
