A leap of faith, stepping into the unknown, walking into darkness and trusting that you will find your way again. Forging an unknown path is scary, and something we often avoid. When the path we're choosing is unconventional or unknown, so many fears pop up and try to stop us to keep us on the main road. What will my peers think? This isn't what society expects of me. This isn't what my family expects of me. Will I be happy? Will I succeed? There are no answers to these questions. For anyone, We have no way of knowing if what the future holds for us is bright, and the only antidote to anxiety is to have a deep trust in our own intuition and perhaps something greater. Six months ago, I made the choice to leave behind a career I had been working towards for six years. I walked out the door of my office on a rainy november evening and have not looked back since to the job, to the career. Into that old dream. Crossing that threshold marked a significant change in my life and a significant moment of growth for myself. Three truths became clear to me as I drove home that day, I am not willing to sacrifice my health and happiness for a job. Money will not control my choice of how I spend my life in time. I will let the future unfold organically by following my intuition and my heart
