Welcome to goal setting at beyond Finance. Now that 2022 is officially in full swing, we wanted to take some time to discuss the goal management process. We are going to look at the purpose of goals, how to create effective goals and how to manage goals to achieve results. Beyond finance prides itself on being a results oriented. Organization goals inspire the behaviors the business needs to win and be successful. Results driven. Organizations focus on outcomes over tasks shifting the emphasis from doing the work to the outcomes that the work will deliver by setting goals. You can set priorities and focus on tasks that achieve results in this training. We are going to cover three primary sections. One cascading goals, two creating goals and three goal management. First up is cascading goals. Cascading goals are goals that are translated from one level of the organization to the next. The point of a cascading goal is to get everyone from top to bottom, completely aligned with the big picture, organizational goal and to make 100% sure that they know exactly what to do by breaking that strategy down into clear tasks and deliverables that can easily be communicated and tracked company or departmental goals serve as high level goals that can work as filters to help determine what initiatives are most important and be pursued as a priority. This is where aligned goals come in. Cascading goals help an employee to see how doing their part can help the department and the company achieve the goals that have been set. It ensures they understand what the goal of the company is and how they play a part in this. In the next several slides, we will go through a few teams and examples of real in play 2022 cascading goals.
