Let's look, for example, at the Ramon in region with its nine local authorities, each of which know how to care for its residents. In all aspects, every authority has schools, playgrounds, roads, businesses and lively cultural and communal life. It sounds fabulous, doesn't it? But if we're honest, not everything is perfect. Yes, most of the services air very good, but there are some that are insufficient and others that are needed but don't exist. These nine authorities exist side by side, but a run independently of one another. Thes air small authorities with big dreams, each striving to give its residents a life of peace and economic stability. So what can be done? The Ramon and authorities can work together and cooperate. They can plan and initiate together pool resources, bring people together and close gaps. Together, they can create a place where people live in common. In this way, they can create more meaningful growth. Think ahead, get the government to invest in regional development, involve academia and civil society and all in all, give the residents real quality of life sound imaginary. In recent years, the Regional Clusters Initiative was founded in Israel. There are already five regional clusters that develop new high quality services for residents. Five clusters invested in socio economic growth and in promoting regional strategy. And that's just the beginning, their arm or in more areas that want to set up new clusters. More and more government ministries that want to join in and create change. The cluster program is good for the local authorities, and it's good for residents because when everybody works together, the quality of life improves. The regional clusters are a partnership between the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance, the JDC Institute for Leadership and Governance and the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel.
