The second is system two, which is more deliberative and thoughtful. Like when we have to figure out how to get to a new destination or solve a math problem. Now our biases live in our system one thinking when we make knee jerk reactions or are using our gut instincts to determine something, our biases are affecting our decisions without our knowledge. We all have bias and the bias in itself doesn't make us bad people, bias is just the knee jerk reaction of our unconscious. That said, these patterns in our unconscious can lead us to a gut instinct about people and can lead us to making decisions about others that results in a negative impact.
