So excited to be finally recording this podcast. It has been a long time coming. So, the well-being Wonder of Podcast, what is it all about? You're probably wondering well, for as long as I can remember, I have been on a journey uh to my own well being ever since I was a child, I never really felt very comfortable in my own skin. And I've always been searching for that feeling of well being. And I've done a lot of exploration around this. And the reason I call it the well-being wonder at podcast is because a way that I have found my own wellness and well-being has come from exploration of other countries of seeing different cultures, different perceptions, meeting a wide variety of people, which has given me a greater understanding of myself. And while I've been traveling, I've met a lot of absolutely wonderful, fascinating inspirational people uh that I would never have met if I just stayed at home in my own little town or little village where I grew up. So really, that's why that's where the name came from the well-being Waer. So my new friends, this episode is really more of an introduction to the podcast to the show and to explain a bit more about who I am and give you some background information on me and why I decided to go ahead and create this podcast. So let's start with who I am. So I am a woman who has always been incredibly passionate about wanting to help other people. And I believe the reason I feel so strongly about wanting to do this is because really, I've been on my own mission of self love and well-being as I mentioned earlier and I feel it's my purpose. It's my Dharma to help others to feel better and feel good within themselves. Because this is something that I have struggled with all my life and life really is about living. It's about having fun. It's a gift and we have so much heaviness surrounding us as a human being. So much crap that gets in our own way of feeling, content, of feeling happy, of feeling joyful. So for me, I particularly struggled with this when I was younger. When I was a child, I was always so embarrassed about who I was. I was incredibly painfully shy. I was effectively mute. I didn't speak up in class. I always used to keep quiet for fear of embarrassing myself, for fear of judgment. And I always had this inner battle going on with myself over my lifetime. I've been constantly challenged by countless number of situations that hurt me that made me feel uncomfortable. I'm a very sensitive person. And for the longest time, I used to feel like this was a weakness, but actually being sensitive is a superpower because it means I'm able to feel my emotions and because I'm able to feel them, it means I'm able to heal them. It means that I have been able to move on from the most heartbreaking, debilitating, upsetting moments of my life. I have been able to overcome all of that. This helps you to move on in life because it then means that you can then start a fresh as an example, the amount of times I've suffered heartbreak and rejection from guys. I could write a whole book on it, but it's made me strong. This is something that I talk about a lot on my Instagram about the need to feel, to heal. It really helps you become stronger and it helps you to move on processing your emotions. This has been a particularly useful skill for the last 12 years. As I'm actually a qualified health care professional, I'm a therapeutic radiographer or radiation therapist. And I have been, that means if you don't know, I've been working with cancer patients in radiotherapy department, I've been treating people with radiation to either cure or palliate their cancer. So as you can imagine, that's quite an intensive job. But as I mentioned before, I've always had this desire to help others. And so, yes, for many years, it did satisfy me. Um but it never gave me the work life balance that I longed for. It left me with very little time for traveling, which I absolutely love and it is a very stressful, very intense job with very little down time and very little time to recover. And I would just find that I would get burnt out all the time. And this taught me a valuable lesson about self love and self care that it's ok to walk away from something that is meaningful, but maybe it's not serving you. Ultimately, I always wanted a job where I was helping other people. But that gave me the time, freedom and flexibility that I needed. It's a balance of what you love and what will serve you best as well. And then I fell into uh coaching. So life coaching pretty much fell into my lap. And I quickly discovered that the thing that I'm most passionate about in helping others with is well being and I decided to start the podcast because I'm able to give so much more value and information on the show than on my Instagram page. There is literally only a limited amount you can say and you can put on there. Although I do think it is a great platform. So this is why the podcast came about and why I'm here talking to you. Now in the show, I am gonna take you on a journey. I am gonna share with you my experience of well-being. I'm gonna be talking to people about their experience of well being and what it's really taken for them to feel well within themselves. There's gonna be a lot of incredible information shared on here that will hopefully help you guys with your own well being. That's my ultimate goal here. I want to give you information so you can take it away form your own opinions. Have those paradigm shifts, those mindset shifts and get yourself feeling better, feeling good, get yourself to the place where you want to be emotionally, that beautiful inner state of feeling good of feeling, balanced, of feeling, calm, of feeling that no matter what happens in your life, what hurdles are thrown at you that you can always come back to this equilibrium. And so that's my mission. That's the message that I want to give to you all. And the reason that I'm here. And I really hope that this podcast brings you so much value. I hope you enjoy all the amazing guests that are gonna come on here. There's gonna be some really fantastic people speaking about well being and we're gonna cover all kinds of subjects, health, wellness, spirituality, mindset. I plan on covering every single angle. It's gonna be fun. It's gonna be real, it's gonna be raw. It's gonna get juicy. It may even possibly offend some people, but that's good because I really want you to start thinking outside the box that you're currently in, start expanding your mind and be able to see things differently through another lens. We only ever see things our way because that's the only way we know how. But when somebody else comes along, someone completely new showing you something at an angle that you couldn't even imagine yourself. That's when the changes happen and when you start to open up your mind and when new possibilities come in and this is what I have found in my own journey, the more I explore, the more I learn from others, the more I wonder, the more I read the more information I get from different sources. That's where things get really exciting, really interesting and where I've been able to do more healing, if you want to call it healing more reprogramming and get myself into a really, really good place. So if you're ready to come on this journey with me, then I'm ready to invite you along and I'm so happy that you've decided to join me and I really look forward to hearing your comments, your thoughts and your questions about any of the topics or any of the things that we cover during the podcast shows. And also anything else that you may want to ask me? So, don't be afraid to reach out and get in contact and please leave a review for me as this will help my podcast grow and this is a brand new thing for me. So I would really appreciate that. But for now sending you all lots of love looking forward to seeing you on the next episode. And thank you once again for tuning in.
