Section five Lesson four. Ethical will. An ethical will is a tool that helps someone solidify the meaning he or she places on his or her life. It is basically a written record of what a person has felt important in his or her life based on his or her experiences. It is a reflection of the person's innate knowing and his or her lessons beliefs, values, blessings, regrets and so on that he or she wants to share with family members, friends and the generations to come. And it doesn't have to be in writing. It could be an audio or video recording. There are a variety of processes and templates from which to choose and of life. Doulas can use thes ideas as a platform for conversation and helping our families make the most out of this time.
