Clients Can Now Edit Jobs: What This Looks Like for Talent

Anne Joldersma | October 4, 2023

We’ve heard from our clients that the ability to edit a job posting when certain details change—without the need to reach out to the support team—would improve the hiring process on Voices. We’re pleased to share that we’ve now made this possible.

Clients can now edit multiple fields on the job form, including language, accent, voice gender, voice age, and/or category. When this happens, the job details are duplicated and the original job is canceled. This means that the new job posting requires new talent responses.

Clients can also edit things like the script, budget, and word count/finished minutes. When this happens, the job details will be updated and any talent who has already responded to the job will be notified.

How Talent Are Notified if a Job Posting They’ve Responded to Has Changed

You’ll automatically be notified via email if a job you were privately invited to and/or responded to has changed. The email shows the changes that were made and asks you to edit your response if needed.

Clients will also have the ability to re-open responses. This will be useful for situations where a private invite was sent out but you did not see it prior to the response deadline and missed the opportunity to respond.

What an Edited Job Looks Like to Talent in the Job Details

In the Overview section of the Edit Response screen, talent will see ‘Updated’ next to what’s changed and any new fields will be highlighted in blue, where applicable. If it’s a field where we can easily show what the most recent change was, we will do so with a tooltip. This will be reserved for the overview, job highlights, and job details sections.

What Edited Responses Look Like to Clients

Edited responses will replace the ‘New’ pill with a new status pill that says ‘Updated’.

Our goal in making editing a job easier for our clients is to enable a faster, more accurate hiring process, with more jobs posted and more talent hired. As always, we welcome your feedback to [email protected].

    Good morning,
I am new to Voices and the business and am very anxious to start this new journey. With that being said, I currently have no experience and have been sending out numerous auditions on a daily basis. I see that clients are listening to my voice, but that’s about all.
I believe I’m doing all the necessary steps, it’s been a few weeks now and I’m just waiting for one client to choose me, one chance to gain experience to be added to my profile to achieve more confidence.
If you can send any feedback I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thank you
