Little boy with a cap on using a level (gauge)You might have noticed some icons on the jobs board and in your Answered folder that weren’t there last week!
We’re working hard to make your experience better and trust that these additions will do just that.
Curious to learn more?
Find out what these icons represent and why they were added in today’s VOX Daily.

Visual Indicators Added To Help!

We received several feature requests asking for a simple way to know which auditions have been reviewed by the client without having to click through each job.
Late last week, we added friendly icons to identify which jobs were private (mail icon) which auditions have been reviewed (check mark icon) and which auditions have been liked (thumbs up icon).

Making Sure You’re Getting Jobs

One note from our Customer Service team: Be sure to check “non-union” in your profile as talent without “non-union” selected are no longer receiving notifications of non-union job postings.
If you’ve noticed a significant drop in the number of jobs you are being notified of, this explains why. Union status falls under “Associations” in your Profile. Log in now to ensure you are receiving all the opportunities you were accustomed to:

I hope that helps!

  1. These are great ideas. It’s nice to have some more feedback about auditions. I’ve received “thank you” notes and they help to relieve a bit of the black hole that surrounds auditions.
I would like to suggest some improvements re: payments. It would be able to track the payment from the time it is released to talent until the check is in the mail.

  2. I LOVE the new icon about being reviewed…..SOO helpful. Also the Finalized, Working, Closed and Completed information! Thanks so much!

  3. Love the new icons! Now, just one more important improvement: on the main jobs page, add a column (along with price, date due etc) that ids whether the job requires a custom demo or allows a generic. This would save much time in the daily sifting of what auditions to record.

  4. Whenever we see a job displaying its “finalizing, working…etc.” stages, does this mean that the job is going through the Sure Pay system, or does the display include jobs that are being directly paid to talent by the client?

  5. I am pleased to see feedback on submitted auditions. It would be great if there was a way the client could rate the audition (similar to Voice123) which give one a sense of whether you’re being considered or not.

  6. Hi Tom,
Thank you for your comment and question. If you see that a job is moving along (stages), it means that the job is being completed on the website.
    Best wishes,

  7. Hi Bruce,
Here is a definition of the statuses:
OPEN: A job that is accepting auditions and no one has been selected yet.
FINALIZING: A job that has been awarded but not yet finalized.
WORKING: A job that is in progress.
COMPLETED: A job where payment has been released by the client.
    Best wishes,

  8. Hey Voices… Just saw the improvements you made to the site, last night. Big fan of the REVIEWED and LIKED icons! Very nice!

  9. I love the new icons but I od have a few questions. I did notice that as I go to delte jobs I did nit get and are closed and never listened to, I get a notice that the client will not be able to review it if I take it off. Well, if I did not get the job does it really matter? I ask this because I am wondering if there is a chance they will in the future. What are the chances they would? I assume closed means they never followed through with the job or looking for talent. Is this correct?

  10. Hi Stephanie,
I love the new icons and had been noticing them this week. I particularly find the thumbs up very helpful. I’m assuming that means you may have been in the running or not? Thanks for clarifying what OPEN, FINALIZING etc means. What about CLOSED? Does this mean that the client has closed it to the auditioning process?

  11. LOVE the new icons. One request: Is there anyway when you get a thumbs up, you know how many other people received a thumbs up for the same job? So if ten people got the thumbs up, you have less chance of getting the job than if two people received it. Great job though. Dawn

  12. Love the new icons. Very helpful to see if you have been reviewed, rather than clicking through them all. Like the thumbs up too. It is helpful, of course if there was a way for you to tell us we were top ten or so that would be even better. One thing that I have always thought would be helpful is to be able to hear the winning audition, which I am sure would be difficult to do.

  13. I Really like the new icons. It is so helpful to have the Reviewed check mark. I also like the status reports on Closed/Working, etc. Thanks for adding these features.

  14. Hi Careen,
Once VoiceMatch went live, there was an issue where you could only see jobs for budget ranges you selected as a Guest. This has been fixed for all jobs going forward. I trust you will be seeing more now that this has been restored.
    Thank you for commenting!
    Best wishes,

  15. Loving the new icons! Going forward though, is it possible to get a “47 of 152 Reviewed” metric once the client begins going through auditions?

  16. This is a good addition but I think — as have other Voices folks I have talked with — it would be great if ANY comment on ANY my/our auditions could be available for us to review.

  17. I love the “check marks” & “thumbs up” and matching percentages: quick reference making for quick decisions about auditioning.
    Thanks a bunch!

  18. Thanks for the information.
I got such a type of thumbs up gesture from one client for whom I sent
the audition in regional language “PUNJABI.” It was enthusiastic for
me and I hope that next order will also be with me.
    Thanks and regards
