Who is the Voice of Buffalo Wild Wing’s Escape to Football Commercial?

This is our fifth post in the ‘Voice Of’ Series, and the second profiling a voice over talent on the Voices platform. Last week, we profiled Elizabeth Saydah, who was the voice of Joe Biden’s 2020 Campaign ads.

Here, we quickly sat down with James Seawood, a talented voice actor based out of New York. Seawood is the voice you hear behind the Buffalo Wild Wing Commercials.

James is proud to have been the national voice of Buffalo Wild Wings for TV and Radio from 2018 to 2019 and to be the voice behind the Ram Trucks 2019 Super Bowl Ad ‘4th Quarter Fight’. Additionally, he’s produced voice over work for other national brands like: NBA, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Starbucks, Nike, Intel, Sprite, Toronto Blue Jays, Adobe, Morgan Stanley, MGM Casino, Indiana University, Smirnoff, iHeartRadio, and more.

James has been ingrained in all things audio for 25 years. He’s a seasoned voiceover actor with a true passion for telling stories through the power of his voice. His love of audio started when he was working as a DJ and has flourished along with his career and skill set as he transitioned into music production, songwriting, audio mixing, and voice acting.

With his passion for audio comes an obsession for recording equipment. He has a professional recording booth with a -60db noise floor and he uses a Sennheiser MKH 416 Microphone. Additionally, he uses an Apogee Converter and a Gordon Preamp for minimum distortion and maximum dynamic range.

2. What brand/campaign would you love to be the voice of someday?

Trailer for a Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan movie or some other blockbuster.

3. Are there certain brand spokespeople/voices that you emulate or use for inspiration?

I definitely do my own thing and focus on my flavor but as I was trying to find what that was, I looked to Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, Dennis Haysbert and Denzel Washington.

4. What have been some of your favorite brand voice campaigns?

I love how the rollout of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer campaign came out. My voice was featured online, in all the commercials and also the official unveiling so I got to see it used in multiple ways in a total campaign which is cool.
