okay, over seven billion people in our world. Mm. I think I need to blow this up a little bit. Trying going to 50%. There. We find 4321 with over seven billion people in our world. How did you find the leaders in Glendale, Arizona? In a building called the Tower Sitting on a Shelf, there's a book that tells the story off Thunderbird School of Global Management. It's filled with words and pictures that showcase the rich history and amazing reach of this place and its alumni. And while these stories circled the globe and cover decades of education, they all truly start in a building that's called the tower that started its life during World War Two. The tower was built in 1941 is the air traffic control tower for Thunderbird Field, which trained pilots for duty and World War Two from helping trains. Pilots were full war to preparing thousands to contribute to global prosperity. The tower remained the centre of the campus and became a focal point for the world, one community of T birds. But by the fall of 2007 the tower had fallen into disrepair and had declared had been declared structurally unsound. Moved by the desire to protect the history of the Thunderbird. A group of students led by will counts Rebecca Mitchell in Andrew Berman took on the task of restoring this tower. As Thunderbird is a place predicted on action predicated on action, it was only natural that these T birds took action to save the tower. What began as an idea whose urgency struck a few first trimester students became a cause embraced throughout the global Thunderbird community. This outpouring of support for the towers inspiring but not surprising, students learn mawr than management skills. At Thunderbird. They learned that their global leaders, who have a responsibility to make an impact beyond the business world Thunderbirds unique mission attracts a unique kind of business leader, one who is generous, genuinely at home in the world. To really understand what it means to be a T bird, just take a walk through the newly renovated Tower building in the center of campus. The project was a huge success, and the essence of the T bird spirit is evident in every last detail. With the restoration complete, there was only one thing left to do celebrate on Homecoming Weekend 2011 T birds from around the globe came home to celebrate their school and each other with an unforgettable night. And while they enjoyed the music and firework everyone fireworks, everyone remembers the same thing that sent them out into the world is what brought them back here tonight. One can't help but be reminded of that book on the shelf inside the tower, the stories inside it have shaped that building of the reminder of to the world of what it truly means to be a T bird.
