My latest cover and the one I am most proud of. Also the first real one I've ever done with my microphone.
It also exists on YouTube, but for the reference I wanted to put it up here since my other demo really sucked.
I think this turned out pretty good, on the other hand. Please forgive the odd high-pitched grating noise in the background... as I said, this was the first thing I did with my new mic. It's since stopped, I think it was just the fact of it being new, so I'm sorry about that.
This song was featured in Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides. The Pirates movies are something very close to my heart and though I have not seen the fourth movie yet, I heard the little snippet they had of the song in the movie... sung by Gemma Ward I believe? But anyway, I suppose this was a tribute to one of my favorite movies. I just love the song so much, besides. This is the full version.
I intend to make another, better one now that my mic is fixed, and I also want to record it at a lower octave to show my low range capabilities as well.
