Carlyncia S. Peck
As Founder and CEO of viaJ entertainment services, llc, as well as Founder and Executive Director of Artistic Empowerment Centers, a 501(c)3 non-profit performing arts outreach organization, Carlyncia believes in lifting as she climbs. She established these entities recognizing a need for wholeness of personhood in artists and in our communities. A cum laude graduate of Howard University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Carlyncia concentrated her studies in musical theatre becoming a working professional in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. As a member of the Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and former member of Actors Equity Association, she’s appeared in several film, major motion picture, television and live stage productions as an accomplished actress and singer. Her principal/co-star film and television credits include Netflix’s House of Cards, Nubia Filmworks Nocturnal Agony, Wild Hundreds Productions Hope, JD Productions Drama Capitol, Touchstone Picture’s Step Up (One), HBO’s Something the Lord Made and several appearances on CBS’s The District and HBO’s The Wire. She’s worked in national, regional and local commercial and print ads for clients such as Washington Gas, Amtrak, Citibank, Marriott, and Giant Foods. Most notable principal stage and touring credits include “My Lord, What a Morning” starring as the legendary contralto, Marian Anderson, with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, background vocal work with King of Pop, Michael Jackson, pop icon, George Michael, and other celebrity artists in addition to her self-titled tour of Europe with TransAtlantic. She’s taken part in numerous recording studio projects ranging from narration and radio commercials to loop groups and cd recordings. Carlyncia is blessed to share the seeds of her God-given wisdom, knowledge and gifting with those entrusted to her care to serve.
