Over the last 25 years, mountain biking has become a global phenomenon. To millions of cyclists, these bikes are more than just a form of recreation, there a way of life. But the question of who actually invented the mountain bike is steeped in myth and legend. But certain facts are undeniable. It is widely accepted that the epicenter of the mountain bike movement was in Northern California's Marin County. In February 2000 a 45 year old world class European athlete sold everything he owned to embark on a journey of a lifetime. The goal. To run the distance of the circumference of the year, a 25,000 mile journey on foot. Every kid loves toys. Take Andy, for instance.
