Northern Ireland, 1972 A land in turmoil struggling with its own identity, father Sean Maloney is desperate for answers on idealistic young priest Once task spreading a message of peace and love in a time of hate conflict now questions the very god he swore to serve, still reeling from the bloody massacre at the hands of British soldiers during a peace protest, witnessing the deaths of many of his friends and congregation forced to observe the cruel nature of humanity shaken to the core by the tragedy, Sean was angry and confused, rethinking his faith and devotion to God. How could someone so many innocent people die for nothing? In the wake of the atrocity, IRA recruitment skyrocketed. Hundreds of young, angry Irish men and women kids desperate for revenge and justice. One of those kids, 17 year old Jodie Done, came to confess to shock. That she was involved in a bombing plot on a British military outpost is retribution for the killings. But instead of discouraging Jody from her reckless path, Sean turned his back on his moral and spiritual code, persuading Jodi to continue with her mission. A man just desperate for revenge, she weeks later, Sean awakes the news that the bombing has taken place but has mistakenly killed seven innocent civilians on wounded far more. Soon after, Sean would leave Ireland his home. But what it is faith 30 years later, a remorseful in grief stricken shot Baltic ferry returning to his former home, an ailing man making a final pilgrimage to Jody, desperate to right his wrong doings, seeking forgiveness.
