Chapter one. The mask of remembering It's a new day, and I'm learning that memories are not ghosts that haunt us there. The threads of a tapestry reminding us how we became who we are. Memories of the gift we're given toe hold onto things to which words and pictures could never do Justice, they are simultaneously, is powerful, is photos and as fleeting as the wind. My life is full of them. Many of them make my eyes misty with fondness for the sweet moments they represent. Many of them cause me to lie awake at night, fearing the visions with which they will invade my dreams. All of them. We've together to make me the good, the bad, the ever so slightly edgy, all needed tightly into my being as they refine my character and shape my view of the world around me. My intention is writing this book is to share just a few of them and then sharing them break free of the masks they represent in my life. The memories will be sharing are some of the more relevant moments that convey the major parts of my story. I could start
