Welcome to talking tummies, where week by week, our experts will give you advice and information to help and support you and your baby. Each week will bring you up today with how your baby's developing and hear from some other moms and moms to be about how they're enjoying and coping with their pregnancy. It's week 36 of your pregnancy, and in this week's show we'll be talking about labour so that you feel a little more prepared for what's about to happen. You may notice increased swelling in your legs and ankles, especially towards the end of the day. Watch for any sudden increase, which could be a sign of preeclampsia. Pre eclampsia is a serious condition, which causes your blood vessels to constrict, which in turn affects your body's ability to support your baby. You may soon experience a burst of energy, which is sometimes referred to as the nesting instinct. A lot of women get this energy immediately before they start labour, and you may feel like you want to clean the house, polish the car, tidy the cupboards, paint the crib, hang the curtains, polish the cutlery, clean the windows, sweep the floor
