At SCA we offer a classical education with a twist, a timeless education for today's world to prepare kids for tomorrow. Our classical approach to education also called a liberal arts education is time tested and more relevant than ever. In all our curriculum methods and values we draw on the wisdom of the ages, the best ideas, the most exciting scientific discoveries and the most beautiful literature and art of the past lovingly selected from around the world and across time in a day when students are reading less and spending more time on screens. At SCA we read whole books, write Argumentatively and creatively learn world history. Discuss big ideas together and explore and innovate with hands on math and science. We use methods that are time tested throughout history and across cultures to build reasoning and critical thinking skills to teach students to be vibrant, bold communicators. We also foster wisdom and forge character through studying and practicing virtues that have been embraced by diverse cultures, like kindness, responsibility, respect and courage. We don't want just high achieving students who are successful in school. We want to nurture mature ethical wise humans and we do that through Our timeless approach to learning. Our classical curriculum includes Latin grammar, formal logic recitation, great books, hands on science experiments, and emphasis on mathematical thinking. Athletics, a deep and rigorous study of fine arts and an expansive study of world history from elementary through high school.
