There is a reason you are here right now. I don't just mean there is a reason that you're sitting here reading this book. I mean there is a reason you're here on earth at this moment in history. God could have brought you forth anywhere at any time he chose here and now the reason for that is simple. You are part of his solution on earth. He is very aware that you have a key role to play for the kingdom right here Right now. He would very much like for you to be aware of this as well. The other thing he would like you to know is that you are well equipped for the job. See God doesn't invite us to co labor with him in our strength, but in his just like Joshua when the Lord revealed the history making role, Joshua had to play in his day and age, God didn't just say have a try at leading my people son and let me know how it goes. No, he promised Joshua that no enemy would be able to stand against him because God would be we with Joshua everywhere, Joshua went see Joshua 13 through five. The Lord also promised that he would never fail or abandon him. See Joshua 15 and that wasn't all. God didn't just want Joshua to know that he, the Lord was mighty. He wanted Joshua to know that because he walked with the Lord, Joshua was also mighty. In Joshua. 19. The Lord spoke to Joshua. I command you be strong and courageous. That command wasn't God issuing Joshua, a high pressure order to muster up some moxie. So Joshua didn't disappoint the Lord by wimping out somewhere along the way. No, his command was actually an impart ation of divine strength and courage. It was supernatural empowerment. The hebrew word used for command there in Joshua 19 is two sava. And it means to a point. It also means to send with God gave Joshua the supernatural power. He would need to accomplish what he was being invited and sent to do. I realized that was Joshua, one of the great heroes of the old testament. But it is the same for you today. No need to take my word for it. Take jesus is they're the words we started this chapter with. From Acts chapter one verse eight. Read them again. I promise you this, the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. Acts 18. The Lord makes it even more clear to new testament, believers in Acts One than he did to Joshua in the old testament
