Ladies and gentlemen, it is my distinct honor and pride to present you the College of Criminal Justice in June of 2005, Kavita State University Don Severiano Dallas Alice campus first offer the Bachelor of Science and Criminology program under the College of Sports, physical Education and Recreation through board resolution. Number 31 series of 2005, the College of Criminal Justice was established on November 10, 2010 offering its sole program B S Criminology on February 14, 2011. The Commission on Higher Education, government Recognition, number 011 series of 2011 was granted to Kavita State University to conduct and operate the Bachelor of Science and Criminology program. The VSC program intends to prepare students for careers in prime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection, correctional administration, public safety and allied fields and foster the values of leadership, integrity, honesty, accountability, responsibility with the ability to demonstrate human relations and respect for human rights while serving their fellow men, community and country. The program goals are being achieved through its roster of full time and part time faculty members use of the CVS you outcomes based education framework, adopt blended learning strategies, utilization of various teaching methods in instruction, sending students to the best offices for the internship, conduct research and providing facilities for teaching and learning activities. C C J is composed of competitive faculty members who earned their master's and doctorate degree from reputable universities would rank of assistant professors, associate professors to cope up with the CN integration and global competition and in compliance with chad memorandum order 46 series of 2012 entitled Policy Standard to enhance quality assurance in the Philippine Higher Education through an outcomes based and typology based Q A C C J has adopted instructional strategies including the strict implementation of the outcomes based education. This learning modality is possible through the utilization of the learning management system. A software that enables educational institutions to create and manage lessons, courses, quizzes and other learning materials. Various strategies or methods are employed by faculty members to stimulate the critical and analytical thinking of students and to facilitate the learning process. These include the use of various copyrighted instructional materials, brainstorming, reporting, exposure to laboratory exercises, simulation, involvement in research and extension activities, participation to seminars and workshops and other student co curricular activities in BSC program, Crime 199 or the internship and on the job training one and two is a six unit course where the students should render a total of 540 contact hours and any of the following agencies, Philippine, National Police Bureau of Fire Protection Bureau of Jail Management and penology, Probation and Parole Administration, Crime Laboratory, National Bureau of Investigation and Alike. This immersion enables them to develop skills that will enhance their knowledge, attitudes and build their career in the future. This became their avenue for practical application of knowledge and real life experiences. In addition, research presentations on topics of concern in a specific subject are conducted as requirements for specific courses. This provides students with inputs in the discussion of concepts and enhances their skills in research undertakings. Students have to pass the rigors of proposal defense and final defense with a panel of evaluators to ensure that the prepared thesis is based on the university and college research thrust. And according to the program of specialization, more cell in order to facilitate an environment conducive to educational activities, the provisional facilities and equipment is necessary. They can request for thesis abstracts for their research activities which is very ideal especially during this time of pandemic. Also classrooms have ideal size fitted for 30 to 40 students, laboratory rooms for instructions, especially for professional courses are established. The laboratory rooms can also handle up to 40 students, laboratory equipment for fingerprinting, photography, question document, lie detection and ballistics are sufficiently provided and can be used by the students during their laboratory and practical activities, crime scene room, observation room, interrogation room moot court are for actual simulation. While there are A V A room for their competency, appraisal and training area for C C J competing courses to be able to assess and upgrade the education quality of higher education institutions. C C J constantly facilitates curriculum review with the stakeholders such as members from P N P B F P B J MP. The BSC program underwent evaluation and was awarded by A A C U P accreditation status which obtained 3.54 preliminary survey, 3.9 and level one and 3.80 in level two. Further, based on our A 7722, otherwise known as Higher Education Act of 1994. And by virtue of CMO number 14 series of 2019, the BSC program has the certificate program comply clients complied with the minimum requirements set by the commission on higher education with CMO 05 series of 2018 policies, standards and guidelines for Bachelor of Science in criminology. The college has numerous community activities with different partnering agencies from government and non government entities for effective community engagement. Further, the college received distinct awards in both local and national level for the exemplary performance of faculty in their field of specialization, students, excellence and academic and non academic activities. Graduates, employment recognition and criminology like central examination for criminologists, C C J prides itself as the graduates consistently make the university land in the top performing schools for criminologist licensure examination awarded as a top performing school nationwide and obtained eight spots in top 20 examinees in recent concluded C L E recognized by PC AP region four. These accomplishments made possible because of the support and resources provided by the administration and the best practices implemented by the college such as but not limited to retention policy given across all year levels, transferring and shifty parent and student consultations, competency, appraisal courses included in curriculum Comprehensive in house review program of the college to offer after graduation, testimonial dinner for board passers to inspire students and memorandums with different agencies for college instruction, research extension and production programs and activities. With all these, the BSC program guarantees its commitment in sustaining the university tenets of truth, excellence and service.
