Welcome to easy stories in English. The podcast that will take your English from okay, Too good. And from good to great. I am Aerial Goodbody, your host for this show. Today's story is for beginners. The name of the story is Little Red Riding Hood. This contains the full story as well as my conversation before it. So at the moment, there is only one thing that everyone is talking about that is Corona virus. Or more specifically, C O V I. V one. So Corona viruses everywhere in the world now, and it is having a very big effect here in the United Kingdom. The situation has gotten very serious in the last week. Now, at the time I'm recording this, all the schools, pubs and restaurants in the country have been closed. Not all the businesses are closed. There are still some shops and places open, but most places are closed, and the government is saying that you should not go outside unless you need thio. So you should keep social contact down. Don't go out and have a party with your friends. Basically, because people are starting to worry about the Corona virus, many people are panic buying. So panic buying is when you were in a panic. You are very anxious, very worried. So you go and buy lots of food. Specifically, people are worried that supermarkets will not have all the products or that they will be in their homes for a very long time. So they're going to the supermarkets and buying all the toilet paper, all the drive pasta, all of the canned food. This is very annoying because, you know, I just want to buy food, and it's very to get food right now. There is a lot of food missing in the supermarkets, so hopefully within a few weeks, it will be normal again. But it won't really be normal because right now, effectively, we're all under quarantine.
