beautiful snowy moonlit night in the forest and sleep time moonlight has been known to turn night almost in today with its bright glow on the ground and sometimes nothing is more beautiful than moonlight on fresh fallen snow in the forest. Some days when the sun is shining, the forest can be a golden place with sun rays peeking through the trees and making the plants below light up even in the shade where the sun doesn't shine, the soft glow of the sun is everywhere, making the whole forest a lovely blend of colors. But the nighttime is different when the moon is not in the sky. Sometimes the night can be quite dark but when the moon is bright at night, especially on a full moon, the forest can come alive with a beautiful radiant glow. This moon glow is made even more special when the ground and trees are covered with snow. At times like this, the little animals of the forest often scamper about in the moonlight on the snow as it reflects softly like a billion tiny little mirrors. Sometimes when the sky is just right, the moon glow becomes a beautiful soft shade of blue. The little animals are sometimes dazzled by the beauty, just like people can often be on a night like this. two kids named Sarah & Jeni, we're camping in a tent in the forest not too far away from the adults who came with them as they all prepared to get ready for sleep, soft snow began to fall, the kids peeked out of their tent and watched the new snow drifts slowly to the ground, and then looking up in the sky they saw that moonlight was the cause of the beautiful sparkling snow. There was everywhere before their eyes. What is this, Sarah? Said to jenny. Have you ever seen anything so beautiful before in your life? No, jenny replied. I have not. It's magical. I think, that I will never forget this site. And so, even though there was a little chill in the air while they were gazing at the beautiful forest, they realized that this was a once in a lifetime view. As they sat in awe of the moonlight on the snow, they could see very light shadows moving across the ground, created by a cloud drifting across the sky. As they continued to watch the shadows and the moon glow, the sky put on a marvelous show for them. Then they noticed that a small mouse had come out of a fallen log and was slowly scampering across the frozen field of glowing snowflakes. He doesn't see us, Sarah said. Yes, he does, jenny replied, but he knows we mean him no harm. So as they watched the mouse move across the sparkling snow, they suddenly realized that the forest was extremely quiet. It seems that the snow had created a soft white blanket on the ground that was soaking up all the sounds of the forest. The quietness of the forest suddenly was making them very sleepy, and as their eyes started to get very heavy they turned and went back to their sleeping bags and soon were fast asleep. But as they lay there sleeping they both dreamed of the snow and the quiet, moonlit night. It was surely a site that neither one of them could ever forget. And as they grew older there was sometimes snow at night, and once in a while there was a full moon on the snow. But wish as they may, they never again saw a sight quite as beautiful as they did that first night in the forest. Many years later they told their Children and grandchildren about the wonderful snowy night. They also told the kids that of all the gifts they could give they wished that they could give them all a night like that one. And so it is for others as well may everyone in the world experience new fallen snow with beautiful blue glowing moonlight. For it is a wonderful treat that nature sometimes gives us, and nature's beauty can make us appreciate just how lucky we are to live on such a wonderful planet.
