32 million Americans cannot read, and the few that are literate cannot comprehend above 1/4 grade reading level. That's why the workers that Literacy Action Center are working hard to help change those statistics. Let's take a look. Literacy action gives adult learners the tools and the confidence that they need to make powerful changes in their lives. Mission of this the action. This, too, served under educated adults By teaching them life skills, literacy, literacy skills and work skills, the center offers free classes to students who are in need. The classes helped them function in today's society. Those classes could range from getting your g e d to just improving your reading or writing skills. Some people come here for computer skills, digital literacy, others calm because their parents and they need help helping their Children read better. So we offer family they were seeing classes. Students at the center say that the program has been beneficial. No, I can't listen with me now. I understand that people like have a conversation with them. So I'm bringing. And the workers at the center say that their main goal is to help every student succeed and to continue to move forward with their lives. We would like to see each every single one of last June's move into vocational training or a two year, four year university program, or it goes directly into the workforce.
