the Carolina theater of Durham presents the Out South queer film festival. From august 11 through 14. Out South has consistently ranked as one of the top 10 queer film festivals in the U. S. And was named one of 20 fantastic L G B T. Q. Plus film festivals around the globe by Moviemaker magazine in 2021 heralded the Durham signature event. The festival has continued to bring the community together and grow due to their long standing support beginning in 1995 as a salute to pride Film festival and running for 23 years as the north Carolina *** and lesbian Film Festival. The festival was renamed Out South in 2020 always featuring a diverse array of queer film from around the world. This year will showcase 18 feature and 106 short films from 25 countries. Join us in 2022 as Out South again brings the Durham community together to celebrate L G B T Q. Plus life through entertaining and sophisticated films and filmmaking.
