Oh, man, I just ate Ebola energy on feeling powered up. I'm about to put on for the hood, so let's get get, get it. Listen, if you find something wrong with Black History Month, then you will definitely enjoy this episode of attention deficit hood analysis. You feel me? What's going on? Hood Nation? This is the official podcast and is based on my phone blawg. And we call this attention deficit hood analysis. I'm deejay hood Shock of the man with the intellectual master planning. Right now I'm gonna be talking about a problem that I have with Black History Month. And you know what, E only talking about just black history in general. But we're going to call this episode Black History Month in America. You know what I'm saying? The biggest problem that I have with Black History Month and Black history in general is that far too often it begins with American slavery Committed history, also known as African American history, also called black history. Did not, I repeat, did not begin in America. There's evidence of civilization in Africa more than 80,000 years ago, so I'm a little disturbed. Well, really more than a little disturbed. But the reason why I'm doing this podcast is to talk about the frustration that I have with the constant and horrible narrative of the people they call black being brought to America and then starting. You know, just like what? How you create a narrative of people. Then you call those people black and you start their narrative by being brought to America. And then you glorify that. You know, I got a major problem with that. You know, when I know that using common sense that millions of Africans lived and died peacefully without ever thinking about the transatlantic slave trade, even being a concept thousands of years before American shadow slavery existed, African kingdoms were thriving. I'm talking about the Axum civilization. They were ruling and dominating. I'm talking about great civilisations like the Ghana Civilization, a Carthaginian civilization, the Sung High Civilization Miley Civilization. Tim Buck to come on, man. It's just it's really crazy how these civilizations were attached to a specific identity, but they're never mentioned. What's even crazier is that traditional African religion is never even mentioned. I always wondered why, as I was growing up, why did all the books glorify Onley the Europeans. I used to be so confused. You know what I'm saying? Look, I want you to Google a man by the name of Al Hassan, even al lasagne. But he was he would eventually be called Leo Africanus. I want you to read about his life and I want you to think about his life. And who he was at it as who he was as an individual. I think that you will find him very interesting. You know what I'm saying? Moving on, though I was reading about 350 years before the Americanized version of what would be called slavery existed. A man by the name of Mansa Musa, He ruled he ruled, was was considered the modern day West Africa. And he was considered the richest man that ever lived. And if you converted his money into 2021 he would have had more than $600 billion. You know what I'm saying? Like just him. I ain't talking about the the areas that he ruled and things of that nature. Just him. He would have had $600 billion. Just ridiculous. But guess what? I never heard about him in school. You know what I'm saying? That's just that's just crazy. You know, I was never told about black history in school. It's just ridiculous. Even in the late 15 hundreds, Timbuktu was popping and the economy was excellent. You know what I'm saying? So it really makes me feel some type of way when America talks about black history and they hardly even talk about the person that created Black History Week When they talk about black history, guess what they Onley hit you with slavery. There's a problem with this narrative, man. Listen, I respect Harriet, tell me, and I know that she endured what I could never, ever imagined. And most people can never imagine what life was like in America. If you were black, I won't even start talking about that. But it brings me to something bigger and something that really angers me. The major problem with black history is that it starts with slavery in America. I'm going to keep pushing and driving this point. Why would black history in America start with slavery now? This is more problematic than you think, because what it does is it introduces a group of people to the world as subject, gated and enslaved. How would you introduce of people to the world as slave people? It's taught like that in America, and what it does is it removes you from anything worthy of good. It teaches all Children that black people begin as inferior people, and somehow they found their way out of the darkness with the help of people that ruled over them. You don't understand the anger and frustration that causes Now. I understand that some can't understand the psychological and emotional problems that this creates. I get it. But I want you to know, and I wanted to be known that I'm not okay with it. And trust me, I got a whole hood nation That's not okay with it. All these false narratives. There's a problem, and somebody need to talk about it. I want you to think about this, though. Think about being in school. Just think, just flashback when you was in school or you're in school, the earliest white people that all young students of all races learn about, think about what they are and who they are and what they do, etcetera. The world travelers. They inventors, their American presidents, the explorers. I'm gonna give you some names, though. Christopher Columbus, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Andrew Jackson and then it gets even better. Then they start venturing into other forms of excellent. They start talking about Michael Angelo Moser Galileo. Now they eventually learn about Abraham Lincoln or Lewis and Clark, but white history, never, ever. And when I say never, ever, I mean ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever a Friday. But white history never begins or end with horror, pain or trauma. Another thing I want you to think about is what is happening to the mind of people. Let me say that again. What is happening to the minds of people now? What I mean is when young students first see their historical heroes who looked just like them, and they see that they were great and glorious leaders of the world. And then the first black people, they learned that they were just owned property and lived like mindless slaves picking cotton. What impact do you think that has on their worldview? Mhm And to people who paint this false narrative? Do you think that painting a inaccurate picture to the minds of others creates a balance in the world. Seems like it's a plan, huh? So I'm a little disturbed by black history in America because even when it's supposed to do something good, it still seems to glorify something other than black history. Now, look, whether you agree or not, you will at least be able to see that something is wrong. And I'm telling your family it's our job to correct it. Help me correct it. No, no, no, no. Help America corrected. So we need people like you who care. We need people like you who want to be proper historians. Sometimes I don't think you understand the evil that exist within this world and don't understand the horrible things that have been done to your people. We really have to wake up. And, you know, I'm gonna end by quoting the brother who wrote the article. Um, that kind of talks about this topic, His name is commodity JAL. He says the colonization of Africa actually happened after the end of the transatlantic slave trade when they were converting from what would be called the shameful trade to quote unquote ah, more legitimate form of trade, which meant to colonize Africa. Bottom line, something is wrong and we need to fix it. I had to talk about it. This is the black history addition off attention deficit, hood analysis. He understand what I'm saying?
