It's difficult to believe that all this began as a whistle stop on the Texas and Pacific 136 years later, it's a town of culture, art and heritage. It's the home of a recognized public school district, three private Christian universities driven first responders. Just under 100 and 30 churches and 100 and 20,000 Abilene Ian's. It's the key city, the storybook capital of the world and the friendly frontier. But what is truly shocking is what goes unseen in Abilene, Abilene, prettiest town that I've ever seen. There is a poverty epidemic here, a lot of hurt and far too many hungry souls right next to that historic track is a place that is doing its best to heal the hurt by working to end hunger.
